Prevention On Ski Hills
The Northern Brain Injury Association has recently received a grant to promote prevention of brain injury on our local ski hills and skating arenas. Our first presentation was held at Troll Mountain Ski Resort in Quesnel during the Ruins Snowboard Rail Jam. Although the snow is melting fast and it was raining, we were able to talk to nearly 75 snowboarders/skiers and talk about prevention - wearing helmets, staying warm, nutrition and skiing with a buddy. It was an exciting day and we made two draws. Congratulations to Glenn King for winning a prevention t-shirt & water bottle and our main draw for a new ski helmet was won by Erin Saunders.
As long as the snow remains, look for NBIA at your local northern BC ski hill and skating arena!
